Be still. Be still. Be still. That's what we have to do.
Who wants to be still when the ship feels like it is sinking? We all have that inner desire to DO SOMETHING when things start to go wrong. It is a self preservation function that has its place. However, there are so many times that Father is asking us to be still in the midst of the storm and QUIET our mind. He wants us to stop focusing on the waves, just think of Peter. He want us to trust Him and press forward as He guides, not turnaround out of fear.
On July 29, 2017 in the middle of the night the Lord showed me a scene, it was of 2 ships. The 2 ships left the port at the same time. They both hit a rough storm shortly after leaving the dock. One boat's captain feared the conditions and he ordered the crew to turn back! As the ship was making the turnaround a HUGE wave came and pushed the boat over and all were lost. The 2nd ship's captain decided to stay on course because he trusted his instincts and his crews capabilities. Together they weathered the storm and finally met clear weather. They made it to their port-of-call safely! There was more, but that is all I will share.
I feel like sometimes we need to trust our instincts based upon the wisdom the Father has given us in His word, but it is not always easy.
"Sometimes all we can see is crashing waves! Who wants to move forward when they feel like death could be eminent?"
Yet that 2nd boat was called to sail PAST the storm! We have to be still and know that Yahweh is God and allow Him to guide us. We have to go into auto drive and leave our emotions back at the port and trust God. Is this speaking to you? Are you feeling the heat? Are you feeling the pain of the storm?
